1 Flow channel Channel becomes narrow at the weir. Flow rate is about 50% of pipe Cv value. Channel is straight. Flow rate is more than 80% of pipe Cv value.

2 Piping posture Pocketing in the line can be kept to a minimum by rigging piping to the proper angle. Because piping angle must be safely maintained,piping work is harder than with the new valve. With horizontal and vertical piping,pocketing in the line can be kept to a minimum. No need to incline the valve. Piping is easily designed and rigged.

3 Structure of T branch valve Channel becomes narrow at the weir. Pressure loss at branch is high. Channel is straight. Pressure loss at branch is low.
